Anita Barone
An actor with many talents who has been relegated mostly to sitcoms on TV, Anita Barone received her best shot in the medium as spouse of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC in 1995-96. Barone appeared on the stage for the first time at five years old in Detroit following the move of her family away from St Louis. She was in the stage for more than fifty plays before the age of 23 mostly for university productions and regional theatres. Her stage credits include Juliet as Juliet in "Romeo as well as Juliet," Helen Keller in a stage production of "Monday After the Miracle" and in the title part of Agnes, the young tormented nun from "Agnes of God." Her screen debut came with a small role as a character in "The Rozary Murders" (1987) she also played one scene as a character in "Ricochet" (1991) and landed a lead in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" (1996). Her first Hollywood work of note was as a member of the stock company for "Carol & Company" (NBC from 1990 to 1991), the ill-fated the plan by Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program. Barone played the role as a character in "Wounded Heart" which was a 1995 USA Network film. In the end, she returned to her weekly sitcom routine, costarring with Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
