Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She survived on a student salary and part-time work in order to make ends meet. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox was initially a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. But she quit before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. From 1977 until 1980 she served as the singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop band. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Following that Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva which was released in the year 1992. In both commercial terms and critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo was released in the month of October 2014. is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. This E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... The album is also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to achieve international fame in 1980s with the Eurythmics. The year 1992 was the year Lennox launched a solo career by releasing her debut album Diva with a variety of successful songs includingWhy andWalking through Broken Glass. Medusa an album from her studio, which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her most popular songs including the No MoreI Always Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). Six solo studio albums and one compilation album, are at her disposal.
